First, let me thank each of you for praying for last night. The students planned an amazing gathering and worship based prayer event. It went really well. I had energy from the Lord Thanks so much for praying!!!!!!! Still recovering but doing well.

Pray that all of our Good Friday and Easter celebrations would be the most meaningful we have ever experienced.

  1. For Good Friday, ask that God would open our eyes to more clearly understand the meaning of Christ’s death. (For a brief discussion of redemption, propitiation, reconciliation, deliverance form sin’s power, defeat of Satan, provision for cleansing, basis for the new covenant, substitution, and the glorification of God’s character see Putting God Back into the Holidays pages 63-72). I suggest that you focus on one of these aspects.
  2. Pray that God’s being faithful to raise Christ from the dead just as He promised would increase our confidence in all of His promises (Matthew 28:5-6). (For a look at some of Christ’s promises see pages 75-80 of Putting God Back into the Holidays).

Thanks for being willing to receive this and utter a prayer of faith. May God do above and beyond for you in all your concerns.
